Platoon Leaders

This sections covers the combat equipment and weapons for this role. It doesn't mention things like uniform as every trooper had the same basic uniform. So if portraying the above position you should have the following items :-

Officially the platoon leader and platoon assistant leader received the two M1A1 Carbines issued to the Platoon HQ. However, photos do suggest that some took M1 Garands over the M1A1 Carbine, one possibility is that the person chosen to carry the bazooka that was issued to Platoon HQ would carry the more compact and lighter weapon and one of the officers would take the M1 Garand.
