Platoon Sgt

This sections covers the combat equipment and weapons for this role. It doesn't mention things like uniform as every trooper had the same basic uniform. So if portraying the above position you should have the following items :-

The Platoon Sergeant (PS), was a S/Sgt. These were key to if the unit functioned well and stayed alive, for the PS was a senior NCO who had plenty of battlefield and combat experience and provided a mentor to his officer sharing his knowledge and expertise, thus saving their men's lives and keeping the officer out of trouble! The Platoon Sgt was originally issued a M1A1 Thompson, however in the Feb 43 amendments to the TO&E it was changed to be issued a M1 Garand.
