This one is gonna be a bit of an odd one with a mountain of photos and a little bit of text. Haven't found the time to write up these blogs recently and as a result there's a bit of a backlog; so as the title suggests, this one's a catch-up!
Now that most of the cab was off already, we decided to just rip off the rest to make our lives easier cleaning and repairing that which needed it (99% of the cab parts). Now it was off, the next step was to start sorting the bulkhead out, this involved a bit of heat, a hide hammer and some jumping up and down.
Following that, the vent water channel thingy came off and repairs began on the outer channel on the bulkhead.
Meanwhile my dad spent a bit getting the chassis + radiator in red oxide and then green...
Also in the background between visits my dad has been busy cleaning up and getting bits in green while Auntie Mike has been helping out with some shot-blasting, also Mark with some of the painting.
Following this lot, we visited Richard Taylor at Debach Airfield Museum who not only gave us a fantastic tour of the museum but also took us to see his vehicle collection, and
fortunately for us - the spare parts pile.

Also acquired recently is this freshly refurbished transfer box, as the current one has some pretty major wobblage. This new one has been recently rebuilt by Rex Ward, so should last me well. Now that everything is starting to come together, the next step for us is to take the cargo body off, and begin to prep for the new one. This'll have to wait until next time though - this blog is long enough.
