​The Hawkins was made with two types of striker plates: one with a groove running vertically across the short axis of the can (correct for Normandy), and a second, later type with the groove running vertically along the long axis of the can. If you're doing a Normandy impression and you can't find a Hawkins with the correct striker plate, never fear! You can get a replacement striker plate from Miss Drop 44 member Rob Gurman directly (or from me - as long as you purchase something else from me at the same time). I'm only offering the as a favor to Rob so he'll get a little more exposure. Same price either way.
